These projects form a part of the Ocho Rios Enhancement Project which was undertaken as a partnership among the Tourism Enhancement Fund, Port Authority of Jamaica and Urban Development Corporation since 2014.
The Ocho Rios Pier
The project was partially funded by Port Authority of Jamaica; and included the development of a parking and traffic circulation area at the Ocho Rios Pier, renovation of the Ocho Rios Pier Building, aesthetic upgrade of the Finger Pier (Architectural features added such as railings and re-pavement).
The Promenade
The Urban Development Corporation was responsible for designing and managing the development of the promenade. The project entailed the execution of walkway re-paving, construction of timber kiosks, landscaping works and improvement to the lighting and water supply to create an aesthetically pleasing environment for both locals and tourists alike.
