Sports and Entertainment
The Sports and Entertainment Network blends features of both entertainment and tourism industries to develop the Jamaican tourism product. The Network therefore works to foster growth and job creation through growth of a targeted sports and entertainment tourism niche product.
Purpose
To provide governance framework that will support positioning, packaging and marketing of sports and entertainment events as part of Jamaica’s tourism product.
Objectives
Developed a strategy for sports and entertainment tourism that takes into consideration the available assets, resources and current global positioning and potential for development.
Strengthens and fosters inter-sectoral partnerships and implements key initiatives that will support the growth and marketing of sports and entertainment tourism and that leverages the strong nexus between the two areas.
