The beach, located in the parish of Trelawny consists of fine-grained white sand that spans approximately 130 metres in length.
This beach is one of many under the Tourism Enhancement Fund’s Beaches Programme that received major infrastructural improvements in 2015, to facilitate a welcoming environment for both tourists and locals alike.
There is a minimal entrance fee for non-Jamaicans. The improvements to the beach included gazebos, paid parking, changing rooms, showers, and other amenities for ease of access to the beach and its surrounding areas.
