The project was done in partnership with the National Works Agency (NWA) in 2014. The objective was to significantly improve the visibility along the roadway at nights and decrease the pedestrian accidents.
The roadway is approximately seventeen (17) kilometers, stretching from the round-a-bout at the airport to the Iberostar Hotel. Approximately four hundred and fifty-six (456) 10-meter-high LED streetlight poles were installed.
