Mr. Ryan Parkes is the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chairman of Island Car Rentals Limited. With a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, Mr. Parkes has established himself as a dynamic leader, having held senior executive positions at several prominent financial institutions.
Before assuming his current role at Island Car Rentals, Mr. Parkes served as the Chief of Corporate and Business Banking Division at JN Bank from 2018 to June 2022, where he led key initiatives that drove growth and efficiency within the organization. His career also includes significant leadership roles at First Global Bank, Victoria Mutual Wealth Management, and Capital and Credit Merchant Bank, where he honed his expertise in strategic management and business development.
Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Mr. Parkes is a respected figure in the public sector, where he lends his expertise to several boards. He currently serves as Chairman of the Ministry of Tourism’s Pension Scheme Board. He is also the Acting Chairman of the Jamaica Mortgage Bank and previously held the position of Chairman of the National Housing Trust Board and the Railway Corporation of Jamaica.
In March 2024, Mr. Parkes was appointed to the Board of the Tourism Enhancement Fund, where he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee, further demonstrating his commitment to public service and governance.
