The restoration of exhibits for the People’s Museum provides for a public space where visitors and locals can interact, replenish themselves as well as learn about the history of the country’s old capital. This will complement the redevelopment which focuses on the historic preservation and aesthetic improvement of the Emancipation Square and the renovation of the People’s Museum.
The renovation works included construction materials to fabricate and install mounting panels, housing and partitions for exhibits, audio visual equipment, lighting and illumination, creation of a café and a learning center and restoration of the waterwheel. The newly renovated People’s Museum is currently fitted with the necessary infrastructure and equipment to operate as a modern museum.
