Position Summary:
The Experience Guide for Coffee leads guests through interactive tastings of Jamaica’s world-renowned coffee. The role requires passion for coffee, engaging presentation skills, and the ability to educate while entertaining.
Key Responsibilities:
➢ Host guided tastings of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and other varietals.
➢ Explain coffee farming, processing, brewing methods, and flavour profiles.
➢ Demonstrate proper brewing techniques (French press, pour-over, etc.).
➢ Ensure mise-en-place (cups, brewers, coffee beans) is prepared in advance.
➢ Answer guest questions with accuracy and enthusiasm.
➢ Promote coffee merchandise and retail products.
Qualifications & Skills:
➢ Background in barista work, coffee training, or F&B service.
➢ Ability to communicate technical coffee knowledge simply.
➢ Energetic and guest-focused.
➢ Sales experience is an asset.
Physical / Work Requirements:
Comfortable working with hot equipment (kettles, brewers).
➢ Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
➢ Work mornings and weekends.
