As a result of this, the Tourism Linkages Network, Jamaica Centre of Tourism Innovation&nbsp;and&nbsp;the Craft Development Institute were&nbsp;officially&nbsp;placed under&nbsp;Tourism Enhancement Fund&nbsp;while the&nbsp;Research and Risk Management Department was created.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>With the addition of these new departments, TEF&nbsp;undertook&nbsp;new&nbsp;goals and&nbsp;objectives.&nbsp;The&nbsp;agency has been tasked to&nbsp;do the following:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\n<ol><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Develop and strengthen sustainable linkages between tourism and other productive sectors of the economy;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Lead a learner-centered, innovation-driven and industry-led development&nbsp;programme&nbsp;to enhance Jamaica\u2019s competitiveness as an international destination&nbsp;and ;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Act as&nbsp;the engine of innovation for the Ministry and its agencies, and all relevant stakeholders who play a part in advancing Jamaica\u2019s tourism product.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>In order&nbsp;to meet these goals,&nbsp;the&nbsp;TEF&nbsp;will employ key technologies, offered by&nbsp;a&nbsp;third party, to facilitate better customer experience on our websites and provide greater ease in navigating its pages.&nbsp;These technologies may include cookies, pixel tags and web beacons.
